  As a local beach business owner and parents, my husband & I only get out once or twice a month. We often have made Mermaid a group meeting place for friends & neighbors. But after almost ten years now we are no longer welcome. Tired and lazy bartenders come on duty, shut down jukebox, turn tv's to their channels of choosing, ignore customers and kick you out when you complain. Call and complain to owner and then '86'd for life' by other management. The bartender coming on shift was right when he said to new management 'Welcome to hell!!' If the workers feel that way, imagine how they treat customers. Oh that's right! They would rather the drug pushers and unemployed at their bar so they can continue to treat it like their living room and no one to question their work ethics. Bring the REAL and seasoned bartenders back! Don't bother with this place. Go to Tiki Bar at Lighthouse for friendly professional staff, good clean fun & great music!
